We have received some word from Fr. Bob Gilmour in Ghana:
The Holy Cross College group has arrived safely in Ghana. Tuesday, late night, they landed at the Kotoka International Airport in Accra. Brothers Paul Mensah and Michael Amakyi met them. After collecting everything they journeyed from Accra west along the Coast to Brafuyaw in the Central Region.
Wednesday evening the 20th July most members of the District assembled at the District Center for a welcoming dinner. All gathered on the roof top of the District Center. It was an evening of getting acquainted, good food, great conversation and much music and dancing. After an enjoyable evening together the members of the District who had come together from the Sekondi-Takoradi area boarded their van and headed further west to return to their places in Sekondi-Takoradi, in the Western Region of Ghana.
The District was really happy and pleased to have the Holy Cross College people with us again and to know this time they had a smooth and uneventful journey to Ghana as compared to the group that came last year.

Oh, the joys of modern conveniences!! The water line at Dolores Church broke (again!). There is something about the land in the Montopolis area. It keeps moving and causes problems for water and gas lines, as well as foundations of buildings. We all take clean drinking water and water for washing for granted. And yet almost half the world does not even have access to clean drinking water. And Father John gets upset when it's not right there and at the perfect temperature for his shower.
At least it only took a few days to fix.
