Father John Korcsmar and Sister Carlota LeBoeuf, MSC attended a Sunday BBQ with the Workers' Defense Project. The group is made up of immigrants, and they work together to collect wages which have not been paid. Their website can be found at: http://workersdefense.org/.
Sister Rose Moreno, FHM flew to Mexico City to visit the Franciscan Sisters there. She reported that it is very cold there....Quite a difference from Austin these days, where the temperature continues to reach 100° or higher every day.
The Marianites of Holy Cross gave a grant to San Juan Diego Church to buy hymnals. After they arrived, we had a blessing of the books, along with some reminders on how to take care of them.
We are all grateful for the Marianites' generosity.
